Blazing Pumpkins 2021: A Spooky Good Time for All

By November 15, 2021November 16th, 2021News, Events, Home page

With Halloween in the rearview mirror and Thanksgiving just a couple of weeks away, we wanted to take a minute to recap one of the best events of fall. Blazing Pumpkins has been a Wood River Valley favorite for years, and this year was no exception. An all-outdoor event is just what we all needed to get out and have some fun with a sense of normalcy.

From the haunted forest to the face painting to live music and dancing from Red Light Challenge, it was a night of smiles, spooks and laughs.

We saw so many great costumes from kiddos, parents, and entire families dressed up with a complete family theme!

And let’s not forget the blazing pumpkins themselves. We had over 300 carved and decorated pumpkins from The Community School, Syringa Mountain School, The Sage School, and Wood River High School. Atkinsons’ Market has been a loyal sponsor by providing pumpkins for this fun community event, and came through for us again this year. So, let’s extend a big thank you to Atkinsons’ Market for going above and beyond for us!

We had such a great time this year, and we’re already looking forward to and planning for Blazing Pumpkins 2022. So, get to thinking about your next costume and what your pumpkin carving will be! Until then, we hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season, and we’ll see you back at the ranch this winter for our annual snowshoe and cross-country skiing fun day!

With big thanks and gratitude,

The entire Swiftsure Ranch Crew
