A Letter from our President

Dear Swiftsure Supporters,

As we reflect on the successes of 2022, one thing is clear: we owe you an emphatic and heartfelt debt of gratitude for making it all possible!  We were amazed and humbled by the outpouring of support from our many donors throughout the year. It means the world to us to know that so many in our community are deeply committed to helping their friends and neighbors through their support to Swiftsure!

Every year, hundreds of local residents facing unimaginable challenges are able to participate in equine-assisted activities in the pursuit of life-changing goals. Just a few examples at Swiftsure this past year have included a child who might never have been able to walk now runs and skis with his peers, a veteran who suffered a traumatic brain injury now riding and driving to improve his balance and his core strength and a young woman once confined to a wheelchair now riding like the wind! None of this is easy, but thanks to you, it is possible.

Looking ahead into 2023, we hope that Swiftsure can make an even bigger impact. We now serve over 360 participants annually, but there are many more who might benefit, in Blaine County alone there are more than 1100 residents who face challenges. We see small miracles happening here every day and it would be wonderful to share that experience with more people who can benefit from our programs.

As we ring in the new year, thank you once again for your steadfast support. It truly makes a real difference.
