Ranch Roundup Q1

As we bid adieu to 2021, the Swiftsure Ranch team extends our heartfelt thanks to all of our friends and supporters who made the year a huge success! Together, we are transforming lives. Whether you are a donor, a volunteer, a Board member, an employee, a nonprofit partner, participant, family member, or a friend, YOU have been part of Swiftsure’s many accomplishments. You are the reason Swiftsure is able to serve so many participants throughout our community faithfully day-in, day-out, and year-round. All at zero cost.

As we have all been tested beyond imagination again this year, we have also reconfirmed the importance of the programs offered at Swiftsure. Because of your support, we are able to strengthen our programming, ensure the excellent health of our horses—our foundation—as well as take measures that improve the sustainability and efficiency of ranch operations.

Our hopes and dreams for the coming year include the imminent arrival of our ADA-accessible carriage, which is generously funded by the Spur Community Foundation; and working to make our new veterans’ program a reality.

We invite you to continue being part of the Swiftsure magic and this great adventure as we look ahead to the impacts we will make in 2022!

We are also working hard to find more ways to open the ranch for all of you to enjoy the magic of the ranch. Please join us throughout the year during any of our signature events.

We’ll kick the year off with snowshoeing at the Ranch in February. This is the only opportunity of the year to enjoy our trails by snowshoe or cross-country ski, or just bask in the glow of our firepits and enjoy some s’mores. When the weather warms up, our third annual Swiftsure Derby virtual horse race will lead in to our Cowboy Ball in July. We were thrilled to see everyone at the 30th annual Ball in 2021, and we’re hoping to make it even bigger in 2022! The Fall will see the return of our Blazing Pumpkins event, back by popular demand. And if you’re a GEM, be on the lookout for special GEM invitations throughout the year.

Cheers!
Paul Bennett, Executive Director
