Sara Lowe a.k.a. “Sagebrush Sara” has been involved in the equine industry her entire life. She has worked and competed in multiple disciplines of horsemanship from Western Pleasure and Reiners to Equitation to Jumpers to Saddleseat. She found her passion was working with colts, problem horses, and people. She is a former CHA Riding Instructor who has trained in CT, WY, AL, and OR. Sara owned and operated a magazine company selling horses, tack, and trailers in Oregon while working as a clinician/ trainer and starting colts. Sara has ridden in numerous clinics with incredible horsemen coast to coast and that instruction and guidance has helped her develop a greater understanding when it comes to developing a great partnership with the horse. Sara has worked as a police officer and Sheriff’s deputy for the last 8 1/2 years. Through this position, she had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the founding members of the Riverton Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit. She and her co-workers taught numerous clinics certifying police officers and their equine partners through Wyoming P.O.S.T. standards to be Certified Mounted Patrol Units. The Riverton Police Department presents clinics to the public to “Desensitize” horses to various things. Sara took her knowledge and skill with her to the Sheriff’s Department and started a new Fremont County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit. Sara’s wanted to share her accumulated knowledge and skill from her lifetime of working with people and horses and create a clinic that helped others. Her passion and purpose in life is truly to help people to become better leaders and develop more clear communication with their equine partners.
