Kristy is the fourth of ten kids. Growing up on a ranch/farm in Carey, Idaho, she started riding horses when she was only one year old. From then on, she has loved riding horses both for pleasure and to move cattle. In her youth, she participated in school sports and in the Blaine County 4-H program showing livestock. At age ten, she began babysitting children which helped her discover a great love and appreciation for children. After high school, she went into Child Development and worked in a day care for five years. She currently helps coach the Carey volleyball team. In her free time, she enjoys riding and roping with her father and brothers, and spending time with her two children and her family. Growing up in a large family that owned horses and animals has given her many opportunities to experience first hand how an animal can change or help a person. Kristy joined the Swiftsure team in September 2012 and became a PATH Intl. Certified Registered Instructor in September 2013. In addition, she became the Equine Manager in 2015 and also certified as an ESMHL in January 2016.
