Kristy grew up on a ranch in Carey and started riding horses when she was only one year old. After high school, she went into Child Development and worked in a daycare for five years. Growing up in a large family that owned horses and animals has given her many opportunities to experience firsthand how an animal can change or help a person. Kristy joined the Swiftsure team in September 2012 and became a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor in September 2013. In addition, she became the Equine Manager in 2015 and also certified as an ESMHL in January 2016. Now, in 2020 Kristy is our Program Manager.
