We're Back in the Saddle
Phase One Opening – Success!
Wow, can you even believe that it’s the first week of June? Time is flying and we have some great events on the horizon, stay tuned for details to come! But, back to this week on the ranch. We have started our phase one of opening and so far, it’s been a big success!
We are following a tight opening protocol for the safety of our participants and ranch. When our participants arrive, they immediately put their masks on, wash their hands, and are handed sanitized gear to get ready to ride. We have scheduled an extra hour between each rider to give us time to sanitize saddles, reins, and helmets to be ready for our next participants.
It has been so fun watching our riders pull up with big smiles on their faces, looking forward to getting back in the saddle themselves. Once they put their masks on, we cannot see the smile, but the look in their eyes says it all.
We’d say the general consensus is that our participants are excited and happy to be back riding, here are a few quotes we’ve been hearing so far.
“I have really missed the relaxation of horseback riding.”
“It’s just so nice to come and relax and have our friends again.”
“Out and about, different from the house, this is great!”
Week one has proven to be a success, we still have a way to go until we’re opening back up to full capacity. Our goal is to move into phase two come July. At that point, we’ll be able to accommodate a few more riders and hopefully expand into bringing our volunteers back. As we know more, we promise to keep y’all in the loop about the next steps for CDC and PATH guidelines. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
