Mimi joined the Swiftsure Ranch team in 2010 and became a PATH Intl. Registered Instructor in 2011. She grew up in Connecticut, got an early start with horses though Pony Club, and continued showing hunter/jumpers on the circuit for many years. In addition to her continuing education through PATH Intl., Mimi has completed equine courses with Linda & Pat Parelli, Buck Brannaman, and EAGALA. She currently rides and trains her young Fjord horse with Kim Koch in Hailey, and teaches part time at Swiftsure.
A University of Washington graduate, Mimi got her introduction to therapeutic riding while volunteering at Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Washington. She shares the Swiftsure Ranch Team’s passion of bringing horses and people together, to enrich the lives of children and adults with different abilities. Mimi ran a summer camp at her Washington farm for several years so that city kids could experience farm life and horseback riding. When not working, riding, or teaching, Mimi enjoys spending time with her friends and family, managing a small farm in Muldoon Canyon, organic gardening, hiking with her dogs, riding motorcycles, skiing, and being a student of whatever life brings next! Mimi currently volunteers teaching one day a week at Swiftsure.
