Accessible Campgrounds are Pretty Rare

Thanks to our incredible volunteers, staff and great Higher Ground Sun Valley friends, this campground is totally awesome with huge platform tent mess hall, accessible and portable kitchen and two more wheelchair accessible platform tents. Not to mention 8 Teepee’s for more lodging. It’s a beautiful area with river access, and gorgeous trees surrounding.

Volunteers helped rake up leaves all around the camp site, cleared brush, cut dead branches off trees, cut and stacked firewood, and erected the 3 platform tents and all the Teepees. It was an incredible effort by all making the place a serene and natural sanctuary. A campfire and pulled pork sandwiches followed and ended on a happy note. It was definitely a productive day.

It will now be totally ready and welcoming for our first visitors, Higher Ground Sun Valley’s Veteran group, to come stay at the campground in May.
