Halloween is just a few days away and Blazing Pumpkins has concluded. That was one FUN event! We had over 600 parents, kiddos, and friends of the ranch in attendance. Blazing Pumpkins has been a Wood River Valley fall family favorite for years, and this year didn’t let us down (hopefully, you weren’t let down either)! This all-outdoor event was just what we needed to keep having fun as the temperatures began to drop. Did we get lucky with the weather or what?
From the haunted forest and the face painting to live music from Red Light Challenge and the delicious food from the Tater Trailer and Porked Out, it was a night of smiles, spooks and laughs.
We saw many great costumes from all ages and even entire families dressed up with a theme.
And let’s not forget the blazing pumpkins themselves! We had over 300 pumpkins glowing through the haunted forest carved by Sun Valley Community School, Syringa Mountain School, The Sage School, and Wood River High School. All of these amazing pumpkins were donated by a very generous and loyal sponsor, Atkinsons’ Market. Atkinsons’ has been providing pumpkins for this premier family-friendly event for years, and they came through for us again this year. So let’s take a minute and extend a big thank you to Atkinsons’ Market for going above and beyond once again!
We had such a great time this year and we’re already looking forward to planning Blazing Pumpkins 2023. So, don’t wait to start thinking about your costume! Also, keep your eye out for a date to ski and snowshoe at the ranch this winter (#prayforsnow). We’re hoping that we’ll have enough snow to bring back Romp Around the Ranch—it’s truly a winter wonderland here when covered in our favorite fluffy white stuff.
With big thanks and gratitude,
The entire Swifture Ranch Crew
