Caroline grew up in Minneapolis, MN and was on the back of a horse long before she could walk. She spent the next 20 years competing across the country in hunters, jumpers and equitation. She attended college at the University of Virginia, where she rode on the Equestrian Team and the Polo Team. After college she temporarily gave up the horse life and moved to the city— she worked in the travel industry in New York City and then received her M.A. in Contemporary Art History from the Sotheby’s Institute in London. Despite loving the art world and city life, she moved to Ketchum in 2010 to enjoy a winter in the mountains. That winter quickly turned into a summer and the rest is history. After realizing how much she missed having horses in her life, she started volunteering at Swiftsure in 2013 and quickly decided that she wanted to work at the ranch. She was became a PATH Int’l certified instructor in 2015. When not working at Swiftsure, Caroline enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing and spending time with her friends, family and beloved Golden Retriever, Fishsticks.
