The Battle of the Blades, a fundraiser for the Sun Valley Figure Skating Club, pairs nine local celebrity amateurs with highly accomplished figure skating professionals, and this year Bellevue Mayor, Chris Koch, will skate to raise up to $2500 for Swiftsure Ranch Therapeutic Equestrian Center. The top three finishers in this community-oriented event win cash for the nonprofit of his or her choice. Chris has been practicing nearly every day in hopes of bringing us the cash. Applause at the show counts for half of each skater’s final score, so come out and cheer Chris on! Buy your tickets here. This event is incredibly fun and usually sells out. See you Friday!
